for all your pets needs
Pet shops are shops which sell domestic animals for people to keep as pets and the equipment and supplies that are required to look after various animals. Pet shops can usually be found in every town, and are a fairly common sight; there are also much larger chains of pet shops which can be found in out of town shopping centers alongside supermarkets and the like.
Typical pet shops will have a variety of animals on sale, usually smaller animals though, such as fish or small rodents like gerbils, mice and rabbits. In the UK larger animals such as dogs are never sold in pet shops, however in some parts of the world dogs and cats can be bought from pet shops, although this is fairly unusual due to the amount of maintenance they require.
Specialised pet shops also exist; these will deal in a specific type of animal, such as exotic animals. It is unusual to find exotic pets such reptiles or parrots in smaller pet shops as they are expensive and difficult to look after, people looking for an exotic pet like this should visit specialised pet shops. Pet shops will also sell food for pets of all types, and it they will frequently stock live food such as crickets and other small insects for feeding reptiles as well as brine ship and blood worm for tropical fish.
